**Indiana Fever Extend Winning Streak to Five, Defeat Seattle Storm 78-74**
**SEATTLE, WA** – The Indiana Fever secured a narrow 78-74 victory over the Seattle Storm on Sunday, marking their fifth consecutive win and matching their longest streak since August 2015. This impressive run comes entirely without All-Star guard Caitlin Clark, who remains sidelined with a right groin injury.
The Fever withstood a late surge from the Storm, who cut a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to a single point with just over two minutes remaining. Despite Seattle’s frantic comeback attempt, Indiana held on, securing the win as the Storm missed five potential game-tying 3-pointers in the final minute.
“I was proud of our group for how we stayed even and we came down and we went to the next play,” said Fever coach Stephanie White. “We made some big plays in key moments that allowed us to win the ballgame.”
Forward Sophie Cunningham led the Fever with 17 points, while Aliyah Boston continued her dominant play with 16 points and 12 rebounds, securing her sixth consecutive double-double.
The loss marks the second consecutive defeat for the Storm decided in the final seconds, following a double-overtime loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday. Despite the setbacks, Storm coach Noelle Quinn remained optimistic, stating, “I’m super proud of our group, having had a tough game on Friday and rallying back to get us in position to win the game. We are getting better in those areas and we know those deposits are going to pay dividends coming up.”
The Fever’s victory moves them into a tie with the Storm in the WNBA standings.
