**Elizabeth Olsen Faces Eternal Choice in A24’s Romantic Comedy “Eternity”**
HOLLYWOOD (August 22, 2024) – A24 is set to release the highly anticipated romantic comedy “Eternity,” starring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner, in theaters this November. The film, directed by David Freyne, will first premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
“Eternity” presents a unique afterlife scenario where newly deceased souls have one week to decide where they will spend eternity. Olsen stars as Joan, who finds herself in a bizarre predicament: she must choose between her loving husband, Larry (Teller), and her long-lost first love, Luke (Turner), who passed away years prior.
The trailer teases a comedic and emotionally complex journey as Joan grapples with this impossible decision. The film promises a fresh take on the romantic comedy genre, drawing inspiration from classic filmmakers like Billy Wilder, as described by Olsen in a previous interview.
“It’s real fun,” Olsen said earlier this year. “It’s a callback to Billy Wilder films. I think it’s gonna be a special romantic comedy that we’re all really proud of. I’m excited for it to come out this year.”
Joining Olsen, Teller, and Turner are John Early, Olga Merediz, and Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, rounding out the impressive ensemble cast.
Freyne directed from a script he co-wrote with Pat Cunnane, whose original screenplay previously appeared on the prestigious Black List in 2022. Tim White and Trevor White serve as producers.
“Eternity” arrives in theaters this November.
