**Hyderabad, August 5, 2025 (The Hindu)** – Thousands of residents in Hyderabad are preparing for a significant disruption in water supply tomorrow, Wednesday, August 6th, due to scheduled maintenance by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).
The board announced a local shutdown of its supply lines from Lingampally to Sanath Nagar reservoir from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM to facilitate junctioning works. This vital infrastructure upgrade will impact water supply in several division sections, including Kukatpally, Balanagar, Moosapet, Bharathnagar, and Fathenagar.
Approximately 10,000 consumer connections across numerous colonies will be affected by the 16-hour shutdown. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions to conserve water and plan accordingly.
