Tue Aug 05 09:40:00 UTC 2025: ## NPB Eases Restrictions on Fan Photos and Videos at Games

**Tokyo, Japan -** The Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and its 12 teams, along with the two farm league participating teams, have announced an update to their “Rules Regarding Photography, Videography, Distribution and Transmission of Images, etc.” effective September 1st.

The revised regulations aim to broaden the permissible use of photos and videos taken by fans at baseball games, particularly on social media platforms. NPB hopes the change will further enhance the appeal of professional baseball and unlock new possibilities for the sport as entertainment.

“We believe this update will allow fans to engage more freely with the game and share their experiences with a wider audience,” said a spokesperson for NPB. “We encourage fans to continue enjoying the games responsibly and we thank them for their understanding and cooperation.”

The new regulations will replace the current rules, which remain in effect until August 31st. Details about the revised regulations can be found on the official NPB website.
