**JO1’s Shiroiwa to Make Voice Acting Debut in New Animation Project**

**TOKYO, JAPAN** – Shiroriwa, member of the globally popular Japanese idol group JO1, is set to make his voice acting debut in a currently unnamed animation project. The announcement, revealed today, has sent waves of excitement through JO1’s fanbase and animation enthusiasts alike.

Shiroiwa will voice the protagonist, You, a high school student navigating the challenges of pursuing his dreams as a musician while grappling with uncertainties about his future. The role marks a significant expansion of Shiroiwa’s already impressive portfolio, which includes a leading role in the film “You Shine in the First Meeting After Dawn” (2023) and hosting the “JO1’s All Night Nippon X” radio show.

The production team’s decision to cast Shiroiwa was sparked by his self-produced song “Himawari,” written and composed as part of JO1’s member self-production project, “PLANJ.” Impressed by the song’s resonance with the character of You, the team felt Shiroiwa was the perfect fit.

“I was surprised and at the same time happy to receive this new challenge,” Shiroiwa commented on receiving the offer. Faced with the unfamiliar territory of voice acting, he approached the recording sessions with a determination to “do the best I can with what I have right now,” diving in headfirst into the role.

The release date and further details about the animation project are expected to be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
