**LAKE COUNTY, TN -** A massive manhunt is underway in northwest Tennessee for 29-year-old Austin Robert Drummond, suspected of killing four people on Tuesday, authorities said. The victims, identified as 38-year-old Cortney Rose, her children 20-year-old Adrianna Williams and 15-year-old Braydon Williams, and Adrianna Williams’ boyfriend, 21-year-old James Michael Wilson, were discovered along a road in Lake County, near the borders of Arkansas, Missouri, and Kentucky.
Tragically, authorities also found a connection to a foundling in Dyer County. Earlier in the day, Wilson and Williams’ baby was discovered unharmed in a car seat in the front yard of a nearby resident. The infant was treated by paramedics and is now safe and being cared for.
According to Danny Goodman, district attorney for Dyer and Lake counties, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation believes Drummond knew the victims, indicating the killings were not random. Drummond is wanted on four counts of first-degree murder, one count of aggravated kidnapping, four counts of felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
TBI Director David Rausch believes Drummond is still in the area. His white 2016 Audi was located in Jackson, Tennessee, and officials have confirmed Drummond has ties to the city.
Adding to the complexity of the case, Goodman revealed that Drummond was out on bond for an attempted murder charge stemming from an alleged incident while he was already incarcerated for attempted robbery.
Despite the horrific nature of the crime, the TBI offered a glimmer of hope on social media, suggesting that Drummond’s decision to leave the baby unharmed could indicate a willingness to turn himself in and discuss the events.
“While this was an extremely tragic and violent event,” the TBI posted, “there was a sign of compassion… that tells us there’s a possibility that Austin may have a sense that there is hope for him to be able to come in and have a conversation about what happened.”
Authorities consider Drummond armed and dangerous and are urging anyone with information to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
