Sat Aug 02 07:00:00 UTC 2025: ## “Gen V” Season 2: Time Jump, Tensions, and a New Dean in Homelander’s America
**San Diego, CA -** The highly anticipated second season of “Gen V,” the spinoff of the hit series “The Boys,” is just around the corner. At San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and showrunner Michele Fazekas offered a sneak peek into the upcoming season, revealing a new status quo and some potentially dangerous developments for the young supes of Godolkin University.
Following the dramatic events of Season 1, which saw several students imprisoned, Fazekas confirmed a significant time jump. “Everyone starts in a completely different place, and they’re not all together,” she teased, revealing that some students find themselves in Elmira, a location previously established as undesirable. While it is confirmed that Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), Jordan Li (London Thor/Derek Luh), Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), and Andre Anderson (Chance Perdomo) were imprisoned in Elmira after the events of season 1, it is unsure as to how many of them will end up there.
Meanwhile, Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips) and Sam Riordan (Asa Germann) have been dubbed the “Guardians of Godolkin,” a position previously hinted at in “The Boys” Season 4. Phillips admitted that this new dynamic has created tension and awkwardness amongst the group.
Adding to the upheaval, Hamish Linklater joins the cast as Dean Cipher, the new head of Godolkin University. When asked about his character’s intentions, Linklater cryptically stated, “That name should inspire a great deal of confidence in everyone. We’re now in Homelander’s America, right? And he’s a Dean for that America.” This suggests a darker and potentially more dangerous atmosphere at the school under Cipher’s leadership.
The season will also feature a crossover with “The Boys,” as teased in the trailer which showed Starlight (Erin Moriarty) recruiting Marie for a mission. Sinclair shared her excitement about working with Moriarty, but also hinted at Marie’s skepticism: “Marie doesn’t know Starlight beyond what she’s seen [in the media]… I think there’s a healthy amount of excitement and flattery, but also skepticism of like, why should I trust you to send me on this mission?”
With a time jump, fractured alliances, a potentially sinister new Dean, and a mission from Starlight, “Gen V” Season 2 promises a wild and unpredictable ride.
**”Gen V” Season 2 premieres Wednesday, September 17 on Prime Video.**
