**Agilent Technologies and TIFR Partner to Tackle India’s Health Challenges**
**HYDERABAD, August 2, 2025** – Agilent Technologies and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) have announced a strategic collaboration to launch the Agilent-TIFR Center of Translational Research in Hyderabad. The center will support the Advanced Research Unit on Metabolism, Development & Ageing (ARUMDA), a major government initiative focused on bridging basic biology with clinical insights to combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and malnutrition in India.
The partnership combines Agilent’s expertise in analytical science with TIFR’s research capabilities. Agilent will provide high-performance analytical solutions to support impactful translational research, while TIFR will provide scientific expertise and direction.
“Our partnership with TIFR reflects Agilent’s commitment to enabling transformative science through technology, collaboration, and shared purpose,” said Nandakumar Kalathil, country general manager of Agilent Technologies India.
TIFR-Hyderabad Director M. Krishnamurthy stated the centre will enhance scientific capabilities and contribute to national efforts in addressing the growing burden of lifestyle-related diseases.
The collaboration will also support the development of a new analytical facility in Hyderabad, established in partnership with the National Analytical Facility for Research in Nutrition and Metabolism, under the ARUMDA umbrella. The aim is to improve public health strategies through data-driven discovery in nutrition and metabolism research.
