**Beloved Mimicry Artist and Actor Kalabhavan Navas Passes Away at 51**

**KOCHI, INDIA – August 1, 2025** – Popular mimicry artist and actor Kalabhavan Navas died today at the age of 51. He was found unconscious in his hotel room in Chottanikkara this evening, prompting hotel staff to rush him to a nearby private hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police suspect heart failure as the cause of death, pending a post-mortem examination scheduled for Saturday at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kalamassery.

Navas was staying at the hotel while shooting for the Malayalam film “Prakambanam.” Hotel staff discovered him when he failed to check out as planned. Police have stated that nothing suspicious was found in his room.

Before entering the film industry, Navas made a name for himself as a talented mimicry artist, renowned for his ability to imitate the voices of various actors. He honed his skills with the prestigious Cochin Kalabhavan, adding the troupe’s name to his own and collaborating with notable artists like Kottayam Nazeer, K.S. Prasad, and the late Abi.

Navas debuted in the Malayalam film industry with “Chaithanyam” in 1995 and went on to appear in films such as “Mimics Action 500,” “Junior Mandrake,” “Mattupetti Machan,” “Chandamama,” and “One Man Show.” His last appearance was in “Detective Ujjwalan.”
