Hollywood – Actor Neal McDonough, known for his roles in “Yellowstone” and “Band of Brothers,” claims his career hit a major roadblock after he refused to kiss other women on screen, citing his commitment to his wife, Ruvé McDonough. In a recent episode of the “Nothing Left Unsaid” podcast, McDonough revealed that his “no kissing” policy, a clause he insisted on in his contracts, led to a two-year period where he couldn’t find work.

“Hollywood just completely turned on me,” McDonough stated, explaining that he lost not only material possessions but also his sense of self. He further alleges that he was fired from a TV show after refusing to film a simulated sex scene. He claims producers wanted him to wear a modesty sock for the scene, but when he refused, he was replaced. In 2019, McDonough told Closer Weekly that the show in question was ABC’s “Scoundrels”.

Despite the career setbacks and even a lawsuit from the production company, McDonough stands by his decision. “I knew I did the right thing for my marriage,” he said. His career rebounded thanks to a call from his “Band of Brothers” producer Graham Yost for a role in “Justified.”

McDonough recently wrote, directed, and starred in “The Last Rodeo,” which required on-screen kisses. McDonough cast his wife in the role to maintain his principles. “I am not doing the movie unless you play my wife,” he said, “Because I am not going to kiss some other woman on screen.”
