**Mark Consuelos Stranded at Airport, Jerry O’Connell Steps In to Co-Host “Live with Kelly”**

**NEW YORK, NY -** Mark Consuelos was noticeably absent from Tuesday’s episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” leaving wife Kelly Ripa to helm the show alongside guest co-host Jerry O’Connell.

Ripa revealed that Consuelos was stuck at the airport after multiple flight cancellations due to engine and “body” problems with the plane. Consuelos was en route to Los Angeles for a new show.

“He was more emotional about leaving Lena [the dog],” Ripa quipped, highlighting Consuelos’ concern for their family pet more than her.

O’Connell, fresh off his departure from “The Talk,” enthusiastically stepped in as co-host. He braved the sweltering New York City heat, walking to the studio and arriving drenched in sweat. “I sweated out a Hawaiian Punch I drank in 1983,” he joked, but was saved by the hair and make up team.

Consuelos is expected to be absent for the remainder of the week.

The absence coincides with the premiere of “Running With the Wolves,” a new ESPN docuseries starring Ripa and Consuelos as they navigate their ownership of Italian soccer team Campobasso F.C. The four-part series debuted Tuesday.

“Live with Kelly,” which typically airs weekdays with Kelly and Mark, continues with O’Connell filling the co-host seat. Check local listings for times.
