Police said they had previous enmity with Sakthi and were planning to settle the score. Since they had no money to execute the plan, they were having weapons in their hands and discussing a plan at the park to get money through robbery or snatching.

All seven individuals are now in custody and facing charges related to conspiracy to commit murder and possession of weapons. The investigation is ongoing.
