**Kathmandu, Nepal -** Nepal’s hilly regions will experience generally cloudy skies and a chance of thunderstorms with moderate rainfall this Saturday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The rest of the country is expected to see partly cloudy conditions.
The Division has warned of possible wind gusts in the Tarai regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces during the day.
Saturday night will bring continued cloud cover to Koshi and other hilly areas, while partly cloudy skies are predicted for the rest of the nation. Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is forecast for a few locations in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated spots in other provinces.
The Tarai areas of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces are also expected to experience windy conditions overnight.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division reported that monsoon winds remain weak across the country, with the monsoon trough situated near its average position. Residents, particularly those in the affected regions, are advised to take necessary precautions in light of the expected weather conditions.
