**BHUBANESWAR, July 25, 2025** – Odisha’s textile and apparel sector is poised for significant growth following the signing of 33 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various companies on Friday. The agreements, worth ₹7808 crore, are expected to generate over 53,300 jobs in the state.

The announcement follows Odisha TEX 2025, a major event that drew participation from over 160 companies, including industry giants like Page Industries and KPR Mills.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted the state’s commitment to transforming its apparel landscape by launching two state-of-the-art textile and footwear parks equipped with plug-and-play facilities. He also announced improvements to worker accommodation, including modern hostels, to ensure greater industrial stability.

Furthermore, the government is increasing employment cost subsidies under the Odisha Technical Textile and Apparel Policy 2022, raising them from ₹5000 to ₹6000 per month for male workers and from ₹6000 to ₹7000 per month for female workers.
