**Hyderabad Crackdown: Unqualified Practitioners Exposed Running Unsanitary Clinics**

**Hyderabad, July 25, 2025** – A series of surprise inspections conducted by the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, has revealed a network of unauthorized medical clinics operating in the Hyderabad areas of Addagutta, Secunderabad, and Jawahar Nagar.

The inspections uncovered numerous instances of individuals without proper medical credentials running first aid centers and clinics, dispensing allopathic medicines, and providing medical services in violation of established medical laws and safety standards.

Among the exposed operations was a “First Aid Centre” in Addagutta, run by an individual identified as Sudhakar, who has allegedly been operating without authorization for over two decades. TGMC officials reported finding medicines stored in unsanitary conditions, distributed by hand, and even sold in nearby grocery stores.

Other clinics, including Swetha Clinic managed by Chiliveru Balaraj and Chakravarthi Clinic run by Salimuddin, were also found to be operating for years without the required qualifications or licenses. These facilities were reportedly unhygienic with medicines improperly stored. In Jawahar Nagar, Sai Venkata Medical Store and Clinic was found to be operating as both a pharmacy and clinic for 25 years, headed by Devasani Ramulu who also lacks proper medical qualification.

Dr. G. Srinivas, vice-chairman of the TGMC, confirmed that legal action is being initiated against the individuals involved, citing violations of the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, the Telangana State Medical Practitioners Registration (TSMPR) Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The discovery raises serious concerns about public health and safety and highlights the need for stricter enforcement of medical regulations within the city. The TGMC says it intends to continue such inspections in future.
