**TIRUVANNAMALAI, July 24, 2025** – A 23-year-old man sustained injuries Thursday morning after the car he was driving veered off the road and into a 50-foot deep, dry farm well in Vallivagai village, near Tiruvannamalai.

S. Gopal, a resident of Kiliapattu village and an employee of a local private firm, was returning from a visit to the Murugan temple in Vallivagai village on the occasion of Aadi Amavasai when the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. According to police reports, Gopal lost control of the vehicle while attempting a left turn, causing the car to plunge into the abandoned well.
