Thu Jul 24 18:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Avatar Universe Expands: “Seven Havens” Series Unveiled at Comic-Con

**San Diego, CA -** Nickelodeon revealed the first look at its highly anticipated animated series, “Avatar: Seven Havens,” at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the beloved “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” The sequel series, set after the events of “The Legend of Korra,” introduces a new Avatar and a world grappling with the aftermath of a cataclysmic event.

The series centers around two Earthbending twins, one of whom discovers she is the new Avatar. However, in this fractured world, the Avatar title is more curse than blessing. Hunted by both humans and spirits, she and her long-lost twin must unravel their origins and fight to protect the remaining bastions of civilization, known as the Seven Havens, before they crumble.

The unveiled artwork depicts the young Avatar, accompanied by a unique half-cat, half-lemur companion, traversing a rocky, desert landscape. Alongside her walks another figure, against the backdrop of a distant city and enigmatic lights illuminating the sky.

The 20th-anniversary panel at Comic-Con was a star-studded affair, featuring original voice actors Janet Varney (Korra), Mae Whitman (Katara), Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Jennie Kwan (Suki), Dante Basco (Zuko), Dee Bradley Baker (Appa), series composer Jeremy Zuckerman, and creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

“Seven Havens” is not the only project breathing new life into the Avatar universe. A feature film, “The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar,” is slated for release on October 9, 2026. The film boasts a cast including Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Roman Zaragoza as Sokka, Dionne Quan as Toph, and Steven Yeun and Dave Bautista as undisclosed villains.

With both a new series and a feature film on the horizon, fans of the Avatar world have much to look forward to.
