**Government Bans Over 20 OTT Platforms for Indecent Content**

**New Delhi, July 25, 2025** – The Indian government has ordered a ban on over 20 Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms, including popular services like Ullu, ALTT, and Desiflix, effective immediately. Sources within the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed the ban is due to violations of various laws, specifically those pertaining to the indecent representation of women.

The government’s action aims to combat the proliferation of pornographic material, particularly to minors, and to ensure online content adheres to legal and ethical standards.

The banned platforms include ALTT, ULLU, Big Shots App, Desiflix, Boomex, Navarasa Lite, Gulab App, Kangan App, Bull App, Jalva App, Wow Entertainment, Look Entertainment, Hitprime, Feneo, ShowX, Sol Talkies, Adda TV, HotX VIP, Hulchul App, MoodX, NeonX VIP, Fugi, Mojflix, and Triflicks.

The Ministry has issued directives to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) across India, instructing them to block public access to these platforms immediately. The move signals a renewed focus on regulating digital content and enforcing existing laws within the burgeoning Indian streaming market.
