**Endosulfan Victim Rehabilitation Program Expands in Kasaragod, India**

KASARAGOD, INDIA – July 24, 2025 – “Saha Jeevanam Snehagramam,” the flagship rehabilitation initiative for endosulfan victims in Kasaragod, is gaining significant momentum. The Social Justice department’s project is currently in its second phase, aiming to create a comprehensive support system for individuals affected by the harmful pesticide.

The Snehagramam center, situated on a 25-acre plot provided by the Planatation Corporation, provides a range of essential services, from medical treatment and therapy to accommodation, employment opportunities, and skill training. The first phase, launched last year, established consulting, hydrotherapy, and clinical psychology blocks.

The ongoing second phase, funded as part of the Kasaragod Development Package, will expand these services further with job training and accommodation facilities. Local MLA C.H. Kunhambu has also allocated ₹25 lakh to improve transportation for beneficiaries accessing the center.

While initially designed to support 30 individuals, Snehagramam currently serves up to 55 beneficiaries daily. To date, 219 differently abled individuals have received treatment, with a significant number referred for further care and follow-up treatment at the center.

The initiative emphasizes early disability identification, specialized therapies, dedicated educators and social workers, and long-term support encompassing education, employment, and rehabilitation.
