**Beloved Spring Glen Matriarch, Reva Ogden Riddle, Passes Away at 91**

**RIVERTON, UT – July 22, 2025** – Reva Ogden Riddle, a pillar of her family and community, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was 91 years old.

Born September 1, 1933, in Richfield, Utah, to Owen and Marguerite Winget Ogden, Reva spent her formative years in Richfield, marrying her high school sweetheart, Carroll Rockney Riddle, who preceded her in death in 2015. Together, they raised their five children in Spring Glen, Utah.

Reva was a dedicated worker, spending many years as the secretary for the Spring Glen Water Company and later as an office manager for an optometrist in Price. However, her true passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who prioritized family unity and creating lasting memories. She and Carroll instilled a strong work ethic and love for the land in their children through large gardens. Reva was also a skilled cook and seamstress, known for her delicious homemade meals and beautifully crafted quilts. Every family member has received at least one quilt.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Reva held numerous leadership positions and found joy in serving others, exemplified by her 10 years of service at the Bishop’s Storehouse and Church History Museum. She also served as a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple. She found particular joy in teaching the Gospel and ministered to others, taking homemade goods to new ward members. Her scripture of choice, Doctrine and Covenants 11:20, “Behold, this is your work, to keep my commandments, yea, with all your might, mind and strength,” perfectly captured her life of service and dedication.

Reva is survived by her children L. Russell Riddle, Jan Phillips, Jackie Shorts, Gary Riddle, and Renee Riddle Moore, along with 23 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and four siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Redwood Ward Building, 12070 Laurel Chase Drive, Riverton, Utah. Viewings will be held Sunday, July 27, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah, and at the ward building from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley.
