Thu Jul 24 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Timbers Draw Liga MX Powerhouses in Leagues Cup 2025
**Portland, OR** – The Portland Timbers have unveiled their schedule for the 2025 Leagues Cup, a tournament pitting MLS teams against Liga MX (Mexico) clubs. Providence Park will be the stage for two exciting home matches as the Timbers kick off their campaign.
The action begins on July 30th when the Timbers host Atlético de San Luis, making their first-ever appearance in Portland. Atlético de San Luis, affiliated with Spanish giants Atlético de Madrid, boasts a strong attack led by French striker Sebastian Lamonge and supported by Uruguayan defender Juana Sanabria.
Just three days later, on August 2nd, the Timbers will face Querétaro FC, another Liga MX side making their Portland debut. The Gallos Blancos (Roosters) of Querétaro, a club with a rich history including a stint with Ronaldinho, are currently led by former Mexico international Pablo Barrera.
The Timbers will then travel south to Austin, Texas, on August 6th to face Club América, one of Mexico’s most decorated clubs, at Q2 Stadium. This isn’t the first encounter between the two teams, as they battled in the 2021 Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinals. Club América features a potent attack including U.S. international Alejandro Zendejas and Spanish midfielder Alvaro Fidalgo.
Tickets for the home matches against Atlético de San Luis and Querétaro are on sale now. All Leagues Cup matches will be streamed in both English and Spanish on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. For Timbers fans looking to secure their seats for the remainder of the season, a special ticket offer is available for just $99.
