**Sigachi Industries Disburses Initial Compensation to Families Affected by Hyderabad Fire**

**HYDERABAD, INDIA – July 24, 2025** – Sigachi Industries has begun disbursing compensation to families affected by the tragic fire at its Pashamylaram plant on the outskirts of Hyderabad, which claimed the lives of at least 46 people on June 30th. The company announced on Wednesday that it has distributed ₹10 lakh (approximately $13,000 USD) each to 15 families in the presence of Telangana’s Deputy Commissioner of Labour.

In a statement released yesterday, Sigachi Industries outlined its plan to distribute the remaining compensation in a phased and structured manner, consulting with district authorities and the affected families. A detailed payment schedule is being finalized following a thorough verification process.

The company had previously announced an ex-gratia compensation package of ₹1 crore (approximately $130,000 USD) per family of the deceased, along with full medical and rehabilitation support for the injured. In addition to the death compensation, ₹15 lakh (approximately $19,500 USD) will be provided to the families of the eight individuals who remain unaccounted for. ₹1 lakh (approximately $1,300 USD) in injury compensation has been extended to 25 employees.
