**Ahmedabad, India** – The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has apprehended four individuals suspected of being connected to the al-Qaeda terrorist network. The suspects are accused of propagating the group’s ideology through social media, promoting violence and uprooting democracy in India.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohd Faiq, Mohd Fardeen, Sefullah Kureshi, and Zeeshan Ali. During a raid on one of the suspect’s residence in Ahmedabad, authorities discovered a sword and AQIS literature advocating jihad against India in response to its “Operation Sindoor.”

“The main agenda of these four accused was to attract youth towards AQIS ideology and incite them to uproot democracy in India to establish sharia through violence,” Joshi stated. “We are investigating if they received any funds and what their exact plans were.”
