**Michigan Wolverines Make NCAA History with First-Round Draft Selections in All Four Major Sports**
**ANN ARBOR, MI –** The University of Michigan has achieved a historic feat, becoming the first school in NCAA history to have a first-round draft selection in football, basketball, hockey, and baseball in the same season (2024-25). The unprecedented accomplishment, unearthed by Stats Perform, underscores the depth and breadth of athletic talent at the university.
The Wolverines’ impressive run began in the spring with the NFL Draft, where defensive linemen Mason Graham (No. 5, Cleveland Browns) and Kenneth Grant (No. 13, Miami Dolphins) were both selected in the first round. This marked the fourth time in five years that Michigan has had a defensive lineman drafted in the opening round.
Two months later, basketball star Danny Wolf was drafted No. 27 overall by the Brooklyn Nets. The standout center averaged 13.2 points and 9.7 rebounds in his lone season at Michigan, earning All-Big Ten honors.
Just two days after Wolf’s selection, forward Will Horcoff was drafted No. 24 overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NHL Draft. Horcoff, whose father is the assistant general manager of the Detroit Red Wings, became the first of a program-record seven Wolverines selected in the entire event.
Rounding out the historic achievement, infielder Mitch Voit was drafted No. 38 overall by the New York Mets in the MLB Draft. Voit, a two-way player, became the highest drafted Michigan baseball player in a quarter century.
“This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, as well as the exceptional coaching and support they receive here at Michigan,” said [Insert Quote From Athletic Director]. “We are incredibly proud of these young men and their accomplishments, and we look forward to watching them excel at the next level.”
