**Hyderabad Residents Face Power Outages After Heavy Rainfall**
**Hyderabad, July 19, 2025** – Incessant rainfall that began yesterday afternoon caused widespread power disruptions across Hyderabad, impacting approximately 270 electricity feeders. According to Md. Musharraf Faruqui, Chairman and Managing Director of TGSPDCL, power was swiftly restored to around 200 feeders within 30 minutes. However, technical issues with transformers left some areas, including Ameerpet, Malakpet, Habsiguda, and Ramnagar, without power for several hours.
While power was restored to some of these areas by 9 PM, other locations continued to experience outages. TGSPDCL field staff were instructed to prioritize resolving complaints down to the distribution transformer level. The power company deployed 212 GPS-enabled vehicles and 101 emergency response teams to expedite the restoration process. Residents experiencing power disruptions are urged to contact 1912 or their local fuse-off-call offices. The outages were caused by the rain and fallen trees damaging power lines.
