Sat Jul 19 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Caitlin Clark Out with Injury, But Still Ready to Cheer on Fever Teammates at All-Star Game

**Indianapolis, IN** – Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will miss the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game due to a groin injury, but the rookie sensation says she’s excited to support her team and enjoy the weekend’s festivities. Clark, selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, spoke with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America Friday, expressing her enthusiasm despite being sidelined.

“I’m feeling good. Obviously a lot of this cheers me up,” Clark said, surrounded by fans in Indianapolis. “There’s so many people that put in so much time and effort to make this weekend amazing. And this is really just the start to two really great days.”

While unable to participate in the game or the three-point contest, Clark promised to be active on the sidelines, cheering on her teammates and offering some playful banter to the opposing team.

Clark’s impact on the sport has been undeniable, drawing in a new wave of young fans. She acknowledged the impact of her presence, stating, “It’s something that never gets old, truly. To see young girls and even young boys wear your jersey, or want a picture, or want an autograph, that’s the reason you do it.”

Despite the injury, Clark’s enthusiasm for the game and her fans remains strong. She and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier were named All-Star captains by fan vote, though Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes will now fill Clark’s roster spot on Team Clark.

The Fever and the entire WNBA community look forward to Clark’s continued recovery and her return to the court.
