Fri Jul 18 04:00:00 UTC 2025: ## PM Modi Expected to Release 20th Installment of PM-KISAN Scheme Today in Bihar

**Motihari, Bihar -** Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to release the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today, potentially benefiting over 9.8 crore farmers across the country with ₹2,000 each. While an official announcement from the Ministry of Agriculture or the Press Information Bureau (PIB) is still awaited, anticipation is high as the Prime Minister is in Motihari, Bihar.

During his visit, scheduled to begin at 11:30 AM, PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various development projects worth ₹7,200 crore related to railway, road infrastructure, fisheries, rural development, and IT. Later in the day, he will travel to West Bengal to launch projects worth ₹5,400 crore.

The PM-KISAN scheme provides eligible farmers with ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three installments of ₹2,000 each. The 19th installment was released in February 2025 from Bhagalpur, Bihar, with ₹22,000 crore disbursed to 9.8 crore farmers.

**Important Information for Beneficiaries:**

Farmers are reminded that e-KYC updates, Aadhaar linking with bank accounts, and land seeding verification are mandatory to receive the 20th installment. Discrepancies in name, bank account number, or mobile number could lead to payment delays or disqualification.

Farmers can check their beneficiary status on the official PM-KISAN website: pmkisan.gov.in. Navigate to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section, click on ‘Beneficiary List,’ and select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village to view the list.
