Fri Jul 18 03:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Noah Cyrus Honors Late Grandfather with New Album Release

**Los Angeles, CA –** Grammy-nominated artist Noah Cyrus released her highly anticipated sophomore album, “I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me,” on Friday, July 11, a date that holds special significance for the singer. The album release coincided with what would have been the birthday of her late grandfather, Ron Cyrus, affectionately known as “Pappy.”

Cyrus took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to her grandfather, highlighting the album’s title as a direct homage to him. The title is derived from a hymn featured in the song “Apple Tree,” written by her great-grandfather and performed by Ron Cyrus, who passed away from lung cancer in 2006.

“‘I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me’ just so happens the album is to drop tonight, on his birthday,” Cyrus wrote, adding, “all by divine timing, i’m confident my pappy is celebrating his big debut up in heaven with all of our loved ones who left too soon before us.”

“Apple Tree” features a recording of Ron Cyrus reflecting on his childhood. In a statement about the album, Noah Cyrus shared that the song evokes vivid memories of her family and her greatest hope: that her loved ones will never be separated, even in death.

“When I hear that part of the song, I see my mom tucking me in, I see us with my dad up on the hill by the fire,” she said. “Memories of us all together flood my mind. That’s something I really hope for. Death itself doesn’t scare me, but the chance of never seeing my loved ones together again after death, terrifies me.”

“I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me” boasts collaborations with notable artists including Fleet Foxes, Ella Langley, Blake Shelton, and Bill Callahan.

Cyrus kicked off the album release with a performance at The Ford in Los Angeles on July 11, and will continue with tour dates across the country through October.
