**Kumble Urges India to Unleash Bumrah for Crucial Remaining Tests**
**Manchester, UK -** Former India head coach Anil Kumble has strongly advocated for Jasprit Bumrah’s inclusion in the remaining two Test matches against England, emphasizing the importance of his presence as India seeks to level the series after a narrow defeat at Lord’s.
Prior to the tour, selectors had planned for Bumrah to play only three of the five Tests to manage his workload. However, Kumble argues that with a week’s break between the third and fourth Tests, now is the time to adjust the strategy.
“I would certainly push for Bumrah to play the next game because that’s crucial,” Kumble stated on JioHostar. “If he doesn’t play and India end up losing the Test, that’s it, the series would be done and dusted. Bumrah should feature in both the remaining Tests.”
Kumble acknowledged the initial plan of limiting Bumrah’s appearances but suggested, “There is a long break after this. He does not need to be part of the home series if he wants rest. But right now, Bumrah should be playing the next two.”
Bumrah has been a key performer for India, currently holding the title of the second-highest wicket-taker in the series with 12 wickets in just four innings, only surpassed by Mohammed Siraj.
The Indian team also faced a minor scare during a recent practice session when Arshdeep Singh sustained a cut to his bowling hand.
India is gearing up for the pivotal fourth Test at Old Trafford in Manchester, starting on July 23rd. A victory is crucial before the final Test at The Oval in London, beginning on July 31st, as they aim to salvage the series.
