**Hyderabad, July 18, 2025** – Telangana is embarking on an ambitious plan to transform Hyderabad into a globally competitive and sustainable city with a proposed investment of $15 billion in transformative infrastructure. This bold vision, announced by Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu, focuses on creating a livable, inclusive, and future-focused urban environment.

Key infrastructure projects under consideration include AI City, Sports City, Young India Skills University, EV mobility initiatives, and a Regional Ring Road connecting Tier-2 and Tier-3 hubs. The government aims to balance growth, ensuring development extends beyond Hyderabad through strategic investments in infrastructure, talent, and connectivity in surrounding cities.

The announcement coincided with the inauguration of DAZN’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. Minister Sridhar Babu urged GCCs to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into their strategies, envisioning a resilient and future-focused ecosystem.

DAZN’s choice of Hyderabad as a strategic base for its sports-tech operations underscores the city’s growing reputation as a global innovation hub. The new GCC is poised to become DAZN’s largest global operations hub, projected to employ approximately 3,000 professionals by 2026 with an investment of ₹500 crore over the next three years. This expansion will drive the development of next-generation sports technology, scaling engineering and product innovation, and building advanced AI and real-time analytics platforms.

“Hyderabad has been a perfect destination for DAZN to grow its technology and product operations, thanks to the State government’s progressive policies, world-class infrastructure and highly skilled talent pool,” said Chief Technology Officer Sandeep Tiku. DAZN has been expanding its footprint in India since 2023, scaling to over 1,500 employees and establishing Hyderabad as a key global technology and operations hub.
