**Las Vegas, NV** – A’ja Wilson, the Las Vegas Aces’ superstar, made a sensational return from a wrist injury on Saturday, leading her team to a nail-biting 104-102 victory over the Golden State Valkyries. Wilson, who sat out the previous two games due to the injury sustained on Tuesday in New York, dominated the court with 34 points and 16 rebounds.
This was the first time this season the Aces have scored over 100 points in a game.
Determined to avenge their lopsided loss to the Valkyries earlier this month, Wilson pushed through discomfort, crediting the Aces’ medical staff for her swift recovery. “It is very hard for me to sit out games… I’m going to continue to play through it,” Wilson stated after the game.
Despite missing time this season due to both her wrist injury and concussion protocol, Wilson remains focused. “It’s been a tough year… but it’s also allowed me to get within myself and see the game with a different eye.”
Wilson’s teammate, Jackie Young, contributed a stellar 30 points to the Aces’ victory. Together, the two All-Stars led a determined Aces team to a much-needed win.
With a record of 10-11, the Aces have one more game against the Dallas Wings before the All-Star break.
