**Chennai’s Iconic Sangeetha Restaurant Celebrates 40 Years with Rs 40 Meal Deal**
**Chennai, July 17, 2025** – Chennai’s beloved vegetarian restaurant, Sangeetha, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special offer: a limited vegetarian meal priced at just Rs 40. The offer, available at select outlets from 11 am to 4 pm until July 24th, has drawn massive crowds eager to partake in the celebration.
Founded in 1985 by P Suresh, Sangeetha began as a small establishment in Parry’s Corner, named as a tribute to legendary singers MS Subbalakshmi and KJ Yesudas. Suresh aimed to bring peace of mind to people through its food offerings. Today, the restaurant boasts 34 branches in Chennai and 23 internationally.
Known for its crispy masala dosas and satisfying meals, Sangeetha has become an institution for many Chennai residents. Regulars like TV personality Bosskey consider the restaurant a daily haunt, praising its food, atmosphere, and the camaraderie he finds there.
“This [Rs 40 offer] is not about making money. It is about celebration,” says P Suresh, who runs Sangeetha with his daughter Sanjana Suresh, P Rajagopal and Anirudh Rajagopal, the restaurant aims to express gratitude to the people of Chennai for their continued support over the past four decades.
