**US Citizen Killed by Israeli Settlers in West Bank**
**Sinjil, Occupied West Bank** – Sayfollah Musallet, a 20-year-old US citizen from Florida, was beaten to death by Israeli settlers in the village of Sinjil in the occupied West Bank on July 11. Musallet, who ran an ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida, had returned to the West Bank to visit family.
Witnesses and family members say Musallet was trying to protect family land when he was attacked by a group of settlers. They allege that the settlers blocked paramedics from reaching him. Another Palestinian man, Mohammed al-Shalabi, was also killed in the incident.
Musallet’s family is calling for justice and an independent investigation into his death. They fear he will become “just another number” in the growing list of Palestinian Americans killed without accountability.
Family members described Musallet as an ambitious and loving young man with a strong connection to his Palestinian heritage. He had plans to expand his ice cream business and was even considering marriage.
The US Ambassador to Israel has called for an “aggressive investigation” into the attack. However, no independent US-led investigation has been announced.
The incident comes amid a rise in violence in the occupied West Bank. The UN has recorded the killings of hundreds of Palestinians at the hands of Israeli forces and settlers since October 7, 2023.
