**Severe Storms Threaten East-Central Wisconsin: First Alert Weather Day in Effect**

**GREEN BAY, WI -** Residents of east-central Wisconsin are under a First Alert Weather Day today due to the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms. The greatest risk is expected to be near and south of Highway 29, with damaging straight-line winds being the primary concern.

Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, especially in urban and low-lying areas. A Flood Watch is in effect for east-central Wisconsin through this evening. While unlikely, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

“We urge everyone to stay weather aware, particularly during the evening commute,” said WBAY Meteorologist John Doe, “Make sure your family has a plan in place and knows where to go if severe weather threatens.”

Despite the storm threat, the day will be humid, with highs in the 60s and 70s across northern Wisconsin and reaching the 80s further south. Relief from the humidity is expected tonight as a cool front moves through, bringing a northeast breeze and drier air. The low is expected to be 57 degrees.

The end of the week promises much more pleasant weather. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 72, offering comfortable conditions with less humidity. Friday will remain mostly sunny and pleasant with a high of 75.

The cooler, drier spell will be short-lived as temperatures and humidity begin to climb again into the weekend. Saturday brings a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms with a high of 77, while Sunday is expected to be dry with a high of 76.

The unsettled weather pattern is expected to persist into the first half of next week, with additional chances of showers and thunderstorms. Attendees of the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh should be prepared for potentially changing conditions. Highs will mainly be in the 80s, with Monday’s high expected to be 79, and Tuesday’s high expected to be 84.

WBAY has reorganized its weather graphics in the new First Alert Map Room, which can be accessed [here](insert map link here).

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect tonight and tomorrow.

The WBAY First Alert Weather App is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
