**CHENNAI, July 16, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu government has announced the admission schedule for MBBS and BDS courses, with the merit list slated for release on July 25th and counseling commencing on July 30th, following the guidelines of the Medical Counselling Committee-Directorate General of Health Services.

Health Minister Ma. Subramanian stated that 72,743 applications were received between June 6th and 29th. The certificate verification process is currently underway, with applicants given a two-day extension to submit missing documents.

During the scrutiny process, a troubling discovery was made: 20 applicants submitted fraudulent certificates. These included fake NRI embassy certificates, nativity certificates, and community/nativity certificates.
