**Lindor and Mets Teammates Face Hostile Crowd at Atlanta All-Star Game**

**ATLANTA, GA** – New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor anticipated and received a less-than-warm welcome from Atlanta fans at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game held at Truist Park last night. As the Mets player had predicted, boos rained down as he was announced among the National League starters.

Lindor was one of four Mets players representing the club in the midsummer classic, along with Pete Alonso, Edwin Diaz, and David Peterson. This marks the most All-Stars for the Mets since 2022.

David Peterson pitched in the top of the fourth inning, showcasing his skills against the American League’s heavy hitters. He recorded outs against Riley Greene, Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., before ending his outing.

Pete Alonso, starting at cleanup for the National League, lined out in his first at-bat and later fielded a grounder to end the third inning. Lindor, batting eighth, struck out against Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon in the bottom of the second.

Alonso tipped his cap to the crowd upon his introduction as a reserve, but his gesture was met with boos. The negative reception extended to Lindor and fellow All-Star Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies. The game was notable for Freddie Freeman receiving a standing ovation from Atlanta fans before being removed from the game by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.
