**Madan Lal Urges Virat Kohli to Reverse Retirement After Lord’s Test Loss**

**New Delhi:** Former Indian cricket star Madan Lal has publicly appealed to Virat Kohli to reconsider his retirement from Test cricket, just a day after India’s narrow defeat to England in the third Test at Lord’s. Lal believes Kohli’s experience and passion are vital for mentoring younger players.

“Virat Kohli’s passion for Indian cricket was unmatched. It’s my wish that he should come back to Test cricket after retirement. There’s nothing wrong with returning. If not in this series, he should make a comeback in the next,” Madan Lal told CricketPredicta.

Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Vaughan commented on Shubman Gill’s performance in the Lord’s Test. While acknowledging India’s fighting spirit, Vaughan noted that Gill appeared less technically sound and composed compared to his previous performances in the series.

“Shubman Gill did not look as technically tight or calm as usual when he came out to bat on the fourth evening, but his team fought so hard on Monday in a fabulous Test,” Vaughan wrote in his column.

Despite Gill’s struggles in the match, India’s tail-enders, led by Ravindra Jadeja, put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short, losing the Test by 22 runs.
