**Gulf Air Announces Direct Flights to New York JFK, Marking Return to North American Market**

**Washington, D.C. -** Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced a significant expansion into the North American market with the launch of direct flights to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The announcement was made during the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Washington D.C.

Beginning October 1st, 2025, Gulf Air will operate three weekly flights to JFK, utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft known for their industry-leading cabin comfort.

“We are excited to announce the launch of our direct flights to New York’s JFK and our return to the North American market,” said Gulf Air Group Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Goh. “This service aligns with Gulf Air’s strategy of calibrated expansion and serving strategic markets, providing passengers with greater choice and convenience for travel between Bahrain and North America, and beyond, supporting the connectivity strategy of the Kingdom.”

Initially, Gulf Air flights will operate from Terminal One at JFK, with a planned transition to the New Terminal One in June 2026, promising passengers a seamless and modern travel experience consistent with the airline’s premium service standards.

Passengers can book flights and stay updated on flight timings through the Gulf Air mobile application, the Gulf Air website (gulfair.com), or through travel agents. The new service marks a major step for Gulf Air in expanding its global network and strengthening ties between Bahrain and the United States.
