Wed Jul 16 17:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Clark to Showcase Sharpshooting in WNBA All-Star 3-Point Contest
**Indianapolis, IN** – Indiana Fever rookie sensation and All-Star captain Caitlin Clark will finally participate in a professional 3-point contest this Friday as part of the WNBA All-Star Weekend festivities. The league announced the exciting lineup on Tuesday, setting the stage for a thrilling display of long-range prowess at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Clark, known for her deep 3-pointers during her record-breaking college career at Iowa, will face stiff competition from a star-studded field including New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu, Washington Mystics’ Sonia Citron, Los Angeles Sparks’ Kelsey Plum, and Atlanta Dream’s Allisha Gray, the reigning champion.
While Clark has experienced some struggles with her 3-point shooting this season, battling injuries and adjusting to the professional game, her collegiate record speaks for itself. She holds the Division I record for career points (3,951) and 3-pointers (548), shooting an impressive 37.7% from beyond the arc.
“Caitlin has been looking forward to this, and what better place to make her pro 3 point contest debut, than in her home state” said a Fever spokesman.
The 3-point contest and skills challenge, also announced Tuesday, will be broadcast live on ESPN starting at 8 p.m. ET Friday.
The skills challenge features defending champion Allisha Gray, New York’s Natasha Cloud, Seattle Storm’s Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler, and the Minnesota Lynx’s Courtney Williams.
The All-Star Game, featuring teams captained by Clark and Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier, will follow on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
The event will notably miss Atlanta Dream’s Rhyne Howard, currently the league leader in 3-pointers, due to a knee injury. Minnesota’s Kayla McBride has been selected as her replacement in the All-Star Game.
