**New Delhi, July 13, 2025:** India is among 19 nations participating in Talisman Sabre 2025, a large-scale military exercise led by Australia that commenced today. The three-week event is the 11th iteration of this bilateral exercise, now the largest and most sophisticated warfighting exercise ever conducted in Australia.

Over 35,000 military personnel will be deployed across Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales, Christmas Island and Papua New Guinea. Military forces from the U.S., Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, and the U.K. are also participating.
