While a rebuild is possible if the Heat determine the pair isn’t capable of competing for a title, the report suggests that Riley is more likely to give the Herro-Adebayo tandem a fair chance, especially without the complications surrounding Jimmy Butler last season.
Amidst this evaluation period, a speculative trade scenario has emerged on social media, proposing a blockbuster deal sending Adebayo to the Golden State Warriors. This would reunite him with former teammate Jimmy Butler. In return, the Heat would reportedly receive Jonathan Kuminga (via sign-and-trade), Buddy Hield, Moses Moody, a 2027 first-round pick (lottery protected), and a 2031 second-round pick.
