**”Blue Bloods” Spinoff “Boston Blue” Recasts Key Role: Mika Amonsen to Play Sean Reagan**

**BOSTON, MA** – The upcoming “Blue Bloods” spinoff, “Boston Blue,” starring Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan, will feature a familiar family member, but with a new face. Mika Amonsen has been cast as Sean Reagan, Danny’s youngest son, replacing Andrew Terraciano, who played the role for all 14 seasons of “Blue Bloods”.

Amonsen will be a series regular, portraying Sean as a Boston police department patrolman. Sean will be following in his family’s legacy, but on his own terms.

The storyline suggests a shift in Sean’s character from his high school days in “Blue Bloods” to a Boston PD patrolman. This allows Danny to reconnect with his son while navigating his own new world in Boston.

Wahlberg expressed enthusiasm about the spinoff, highlighting the fun of placing Danny in a new environment while honoring the “Blue Bloods” legacy. He has also hinted at the possibility of other members of the Reagan family making appearances, with Tom Selleck (Frank Reagan) being a prime candidate due to the proximity of New York and Boston.

The cast will also include Sonequa Martin-Green, Gloria Reuben, Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner, and Ernie Hudson.

Andrew Terraciano has expressed gratitude for his time on “Blue Bloods”.

“Boston Blue” is set to premiere soon. Details on the premiere date will be announced later.
