**Vanessa Hudgens Wraps Production on ‘Quiet Storm,’ Directed by Anthony Thorne**

**VANCOUVER, BC** – Actress Vanessa Hudgens, known for her roles in “High School Musical” and the “Bad Boys” franchise, has completed filming on “Quiet Storm,” a dramatic thriller set in the tumultuous summer of 1969. The film marks the directorial debut of Anthony Thorne, who also penned the script.

“Quiet Storm” explores the social and political landscape of the late ’60s, including themes of women’s liberation and the Black Power movement, all set against the backdrop of the devastating Hurricane Camille. Hudgens stars as a romance novelist confined to her home during the storm, grappling with the changing world outside.

Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (“Mighty Aphrodite,” “Shining Vale”) co-stars, alongside Thorne who plays Hudgens’ husband. The cast also includes rising stars Seydou Maiga, Sophia Chapdelaine, Cody John, and Elysée Sanvillé.

Filmmaker Nick Cassavetes (“The Notebook,” “John Q”) presents and executive produces the film, a longtime supporter of Thorne.

“Quiet Storm” is produced by Hudgens and Thorne under Thorne’s Cliffside Films banner, in partnership with Oliver Trevena of Ollywood Media, and Stephanie Rennie and Emrey Wright of Odessa Productions. Matthew Barry of Adegan Productions, Joel Eisenberg, Steve Snyder, and Heidi Ben also serve as executive producers. Ronnie Exley and Rabbits Black financed the film.

Thorne is currently developing several other projects, including the sci-fi thriller “Lifeform” with Ice Cube and Simon West, and the crime drama “After Exile” starring Shia LaBeouf and directed by Dito Montiel.

Hudgens is represented by Untitled Entertainment, CAA, and Ziffren Brittenham. Sorvino is represented by Circle Management + Production and Independent Artists Group. Thorne is repped by CAA and the law offices of Kirk Schenck. Cassavetes is repped by LBI Entertainment, WME and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
