**LAS VEGAS** – Rayan Rupert exploded for a game-high 23 points as the Portland Trail Blazers cruised to a 106-73 victory over the Golden State Warriors in NBA 2K26 Summer League action Friday at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Portland came out firing, establishing a commanding 34-13 lead after the first quarter, fueled by Rupert’s hot start. The Warriors briefly threatened in the second, cutting the deficit to 13 by halftime, but the Blazers regained control in the third, outscoring Golden State 27-12 and building an insurmountable lead.
Rupert showcased his efficiency, shooting 5-of-8 from the field, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 11-of-11 from the free-throw line. He also contributed nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Caleb Love added 18 points for Portland, while James Bouknight contributed 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists, a steal, and two blocks.
Will Richard and Jackson Rowe each scored 12 points for the Warriors. Golden State struggled mightily from the field, shooting just 32.9% overall and a dismal 22.2% from three-point range.
Other Summer League action saw impressive performances from Jordan Miller and Cam Christie of the Clippers, offsetting a 28-point game from Rockets guard Reed Sheppard. Kyle Filipowski also had a standout performance. While Cooper Flagg struggled with his shot in his debut, he demonstrated other valuable skills. KJ Simpson’s 21 points led Charlotte to a 96-94 win sealed by Ryan Kalkbrenner’s game-saving block. Chris Youngblood scored 21 and Nikola Topić dished out 10 assists for OKC. Dylan Harper scored 16 for San Antonio in a win over Cooper Flagg(31 points) and Dallas. Cleveland also secured a victory against Milwaukee on Saturday. All 30 NBA teams have now completed their Summer League openers in Las Vegas.
