**KOBE, Japan (Reuters) -** Wales snapped a 644-day losing streak with a 31-22 victory over Japan in their test match at Noevir Stadium Kobe on Saturday. After suffering a 24-19 defeat to Japan last week, ending their record 18-game losing run, Wales avenged the loss with a strong performance.

Japan trailed 21-10 at halftime, and despite tries from Warner Dearns and Dylan Riley in the second half, they were unable to overcome the Welsh side.

Wales, ranked 14th in the world, had been searching for a win since their victory over Georgia at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Japan is currently ranked 12th in the world.
