**Tragedy Strikes Puducherry: Two Young Siblings Killed in Bike-Lorry Collision**
PUDUCHERRY, July 8, 2025 – In a devastating accident near Poraiyur junction, Villianur, two minor siblings were killed this morning when the motorcycle they were riding on with their father collided with a lorry.
The victims have been identified as N. Jeeva, 14, and N. Dhuvarakesh, 8, residents of Thondamanatham. According to police reports, the children were travelling as pillion passengers with their father to the Government Higher Secondary School at Mutharaiyar, where they were students, when the tragic collision occurred.
Senior Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Tripathi confirmed that the children died at the scene. Their father, miraculously, escaped without injury.
Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The incident has raised concerns about road safety in the region.
