**ANANTAPUR, July 8, 2025 (The Hindu)** – A tragic road accident near Uravakonda, Andhra Pradesh, claimed the lives of three young men and left another seriously injured early Tuesday morning. The victims, identified as Tushar, Srikar, and Karthik, were residents of Shevgaon, Maharashtra, and had traveled to Tirumala to visit the Lord Venkateswara temple.

According to police reports, the group was returning home in a car when the driver lost control near Budagavi village in the Uravakonda mandal. The vehicle overturned, resulting in the immediate deaths of three of the occupants. The fourth passenger, identified as Sumit, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Uravakonda government hospital for treatment.

Uravakonda police have registered a case and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The incident highlights the dangers faced by travelers on Andhra Pradesh roads, particularly during peak pilgrimage seasons.
