**Guntur Aims for “Poverty-Free” Status Through Public-Private Partnership**

GUNTUR, Andhra Pradesh – July 8, 2025 – Guntur District is aiming to eliminate poverty through the widespread implementation of the P4 (Public Private People Partnership) program, according to Minister for Tourism and Culture and District In-Charge Minister Kandula Durgesh. Speaking at the Guntur District Review Committee meeting held at the Collectorate on Tuesday, Durgesh emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering timely services and intensifying the outreach of welfare schemes.

The meeting covered progress in key sectors including agriculture, horticulture, irrigation, drinking water, roads, Anganwadi centers, pensions, and flagship schemes like Thalliki Vandanam, Annadata Sukhibhava, and NTR Bharosa. Durgesh also praised the national recognition given to Guntur chilli under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.

Key points raised during the meeting included addressing delays in farmer loan disbursements, with Durgesh warning banks against using technical excuses to hinder the process. Discussions also touched upon the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), accountability of staff at the Government General Hospital (GGH), and addressing infrastructural gaps in Guntur Auto Nagar. The Minister announced the sanctioning of ₹14 crore for 3,000 tenant farmers and the approval of 37 kisan drones.

The meeting saw the participation of Rajya Sabha MP Alla Ayodhya Ramireddy, MLAs, MLCs, the ZP Chairperson, the District Collector, the SP, and other senior officials.
