**Djokovic Advances, Sinner and Swiatek Headline Saturday at Wimbledon**
Wimbledon, England – Novak Djokovic secured his place in the third round of Wimbledon on Thursday after a straight-sets victory over Great Britain’s Dan Evans. The seven-time champion showed glimpses of his best form as he continues his quest for a record-equalling eighth title at the All England Club.
Men’s world number one Jannik Sinner, also a favourite for his first Wimbledon title, and five-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek are among the headline acts on the first Saturday of the tournament. Sinner will open play on Centre Court against Pedro Martinez. Shortly after, Swiatek will face Danielle Collins. Djokovic will follow, playing against fellow Serb Miomir Kecmanovic.
On Court One, seventh seed Mirra Andreeva will take on Hailey Baptiste, followed by a match between Barbora Krejcikova and Emma Navarro.
While there are no British singles players in action, home interest remains in the doubles events. Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool will compete in the men’s doubles, while Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski continue their doubles campaign. Sonay Kartal, despite a day off from singles, will play alongside Jodie Burrage in the women’s doubles. The junior tournaments also get underway.
