Sat Jul 05 18:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Wimbledon Day 6: Sinner, Andreeva Cruise as Djokovic and Shelton Gain Momentum

**Wimbledon, England -** Play resumed on the sixth day of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships after earlier weather delays, with several top seeds advancing comfortably.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner wasted no time dispatching Spain’s Pedro Martinez in straight sets. Mirra Andreeva (7) also secured a decisive straight-sets victory over American Hailey Baptiste. Emma Navarro (10) battled past Barbora Krejčíková, the 2024 Wimbledon champion, while Iga Świątek (8) eased through her match against Danielle Collins, also in straight sets.

Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic (6) and American Ben Shelton (10) were in action later in the day.

Shelton is currently leading Marton Fucsovics 6-3, 7-6(7), 3-0. After a closely contested second set that went to a tiebreak, Shelton’s powerful serve proved too much for his opponent. A crucial break early in the third set and a commanding ace have put the American in a strong position to advance. Fucsovics was seen in a medical timeout, as he had an injury to his right middle finger that was tended to by the medical staff.

Djokovic has been dominant in his match with Miomir Kecmanovic, leading 6-3, 6-0. The Serbian showcased his brilliance with a spectacular diving backhand during a long rally, leaving the crowd in awe. Kecmanovic looks completely overmatched.

Earlier, No. 11 seed Alex de Minaur advanced to the next round with a straight-sets victory over August Holmgren, 6-4, 7-6(7), 6-3. He now awaits the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Miomir Kecmanovic.
